Objectives

Students in the Columbia River Studies course at Stevenson High School will strive to achieve the following:

A deep, broad understanding of a place.
The ability to analyze the ecological health of a stream using chemical, biological, and physical indicators.
A greater appreciation for the Columbia River by studying its natural and human history.
The ability to describe the life cycle and habitat of salmon.
The ability to collect and analyze data using technology and field observation techniques.
The ability to communicate better through writing, speaking, and technology.
The ability to better find and use a variety of information.
